Facial Extractions 101
Besides being a tool for relaxation, facials can provide you with many benefits when paired with extractions. Extractions will leave your skin glowing, clearer, and healthier-looking, along with freeing your skin of unwanted blackheads and blemishes. There are a few things you need to know about extractions.
- Don’t do extractions at home. The process of extractions is extremely delicate, thus you need an experienced aesthetician to conduct it. Aestheticians are trained to perform extractions. They know what to look for and apply the correct pressure to clear blocked pores.
- Stay makeup free. After a facial, you can spend the rest of the day makeup free. Extractions might leave your skin with a bit more redness. However, you should keep your skin clear for the rest of the day so as not to irritate it.
- Pores will be clear for a few weeks. Don’t worry; applying makeup the next day after extractions won’t clog your pores. They should stay clear for a few weeks after the treatment.
- Upkeep extractions. If you want your extractions to last for an optimal amount of time, you should upkeep your skin. Stay away from anything that can clog your pores, such as thick moisturizers.
- Facial maintenance. Facials are an investment, in order to receive the full benefit of the service, you need to get more than one a year. It is recommended that at the bare minimum, you receive a facial once every season.
