Meredith - The Mommy Makeover

Meredith, talks about her mommy makeover experience and how much she appreciates plastic surgeon Dr. Fodero’s individualized attention.

MEREDITH: I would recommend Dr. Fodero, because he makes you a true part of this process. He respects your opinion. He really hears what you’re looking to do and what you want to accomplish. I wasn’t looking for a big augmentation where I wanted to, you know, start pole dancing or anything. You know, I just wanted my body back, and that’s exactly what I got. Basically I had had two children that are now five and seven. After I breast fed and started to lose my baby weight, as they say, started exercising, eating right, and I still was always left with this pouch of a stomach. And it just started to make me more and more uncomfortable. No matter what I did. I was going to the gym. I was exercising. I was eating healthier meals, dieting. You name it, I tried it. It still was there. So I did my research. I had a few recommendations. I met with a few, two other physicians, and then when I met with Dr. Fodero it was a great experience. Before even examining me, we sat down for a good 30 minutes or so, and really walked through what this procedure entails, you know, what it’s all about, the recover, everything. From, you know, the day before surgery to, you know, four weeks after, what does that look and feel like. It was great. I mean, all the other physicians I spoke to, none of them spent that much time with me. I had one physician who just examined me and basically said let me know when you want to have the surgery. I knew that was not what I was looking for. So after meeting with Dr. Fodero, I had told my husband I found a plastic surgeon that I’m really happy with, I want you to meet him. And Dr. Fodero embraced the idea, and spent another 30 minutes with my husband and I, going through the procedure, going through statistics, everything. My husband had a lot of questions. After I had the Mommy Makeover, my confidence level went up. I liked what I was looking at in the mirror. I enjoyed the summer a lot more. It’s funny, my husband and I had said when we looked back at our 2008 finances and what we had spent and, you know, things that we had invested in, he had the comment of saying that in 2008 the surgery I had with Dr. Fodero was the best investment we had made as a family.
